1. First boundary which I chose, is one which I face everyday in my home. There’s a place with a hole in my apartment’s second floor – so this spot in my home disturbs me, because it’s quite dangerous. Although I am used to it, I adapt to it, but still there’s a little unconfidence about it. Especially at the nighttime. I have a few cats and there where few times when they fall from second floor to the thirst, because of that hall. So, this spot in my home haunt’s me when it can.
In my one minute sanctuary this hole reflects in that little miniature Malevich’s Black Square painting.

2. Second boundary is my favorite pen, which I always brake, but I love it so much, that I can’t separate from it. It is very fin, and is made from gentle wood, so I don’t know how but I always break it by sitting on it. Sometimes I am clumsy a little bit, so glue is always by my hand, when this disaster happens.
In the picture you can see my pen and also my best friend – glue.

3. Third thing which disturbs me and is quite threshold for me, that in Lithuania, in winter time, we have very early sunsets – so already in the afternoon it’s quite dark outside. Just now, little by little the situation is getting better – the sunset is at 4 16. So, when it’s cold, and dark you can’t enjoy your day outside a lot, it seems that evening is forever.
So, in my #oneminutesanctuary light of hope represents a postcard of summer pleasures from Israel.

4. Then thing I don’t like at all is that in the winter time our sky is almost always grey. So when you wake up in the dark, you are spending your day without sun with grey sky and already in the afternoon again it’s getting darker and darker it’s just make you fell so hopeless, because that weather makes you feel so melancholic, that you have to motivate yourself. So, I love making my home cozy by switching on mini lights, burning some incense, and also candles are a must have. Music, movies, festivities and of course snow is a real escape from that melancholy too.
My symbol of the winter melancholy is red candle which you can see.

5. One of the main boundaries is related to a lockdown situation. Actually, thirst one is online classes which I give for my students. That physical disconnection when you can’t correct the movement, or just be in the real contact is very disturbing. Also, the space in which you move is very limited. So, it’s cutting my wings a lot.

6. Then another lockdown boundary is that you can’t leave the city in which you’re live. So for example if I want to go to the countryside, I can’t If I don’t have approving documents, or even I can’t go to the seaside for a walk.

7. I guess the most important aspect of this lockdown is emotional. You can’t see your relatives and meet friends. In my picture the emotional symbol is Christmas decoration which means lonely Christmas.

9. Also another lockdown boundary is that we have to face it, that we can’t going out and have great time by visiting museums, cinemas, eating in out, dancing in the clubs. We have to entertain ourselves at home.
There’s some girly stuff in the picture, like lipstick, pearls, ring which represents that these things don’t matter anymore.
All those lockdown boundaries remind me of Jean- Paul Sartre thoughts about the freedom, he’s said that: When we reach freedom, we find out that freedom depends on other’s people freedom and that other’s freedom depends on ours too. So, it’s a really important remark, that if we want to be free we have to think what decisions we make in our daily life. And also, I found that those boundaries which are emotional or is related to lockdown can be found in Hieronymus Bosch paintings. That’s why in my #homemadecollage you can see Sartre’s and Bosch’s books.

10. The last one boundary, for me is fun one. I can’t zip my pants, or to button them, because I’m in a delicate position, so I have to use elastic or plastic band, or just to choose other option of pants.
In the picture you can also find a plastic band, which represents my daily life challenges.
